Dwight Howard misses his first dunk as a member of the Lakers

Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Dallas Mavericks on the NBA's opening night and Dwight Howard put together a solid performance in his first regular season game.

However, D-12's first dunk attempt with the team didn't exactly go as planned.

Watch as he tries to throw it down on Elton Brand but ends up missing it: At the end of the day, it wasn't all bad since it led to Steve Nash's first basket as a Laker.

Boston Celtics Jason Terry pulls off "NBA player in box" prank (Video)

In case you didn't know already, I'm a fan of some quality pranks and this clip from our friends over at Network of Champions contains a pretty good one.

Watch as Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry and rookie forward Dionte Christmas prank some unsuspecting victims with the classic "guy in a box".

All they needed to do was put Dionte in a big box and the fun began:

Frank Caliendo does Jon Gruden impression for ESPN sketch

Since the fine folks over at ESPN hired comedian Frank Caliendo, you knew that his impression skills were going to be used to their limits.

Last Sunday, Caliendo starred in this funny sketch for Sunday NFL Countdown called "Gruden's Pee Wee Football Camp".

Watch as Frank gets Gruden down to a tee:

Florida head football coach Will Muschamp's angry face is hilarious

After the #2 ranked Florida Gators lost over the weekend to Georgia, you can understand if head coach Will Muschamp wanted to kill a couple of his players metaphorically speaking.

During the game, CBS cameras caught a confrontation between Muschamp and Florida tight-end Trey Burton.

Clearly, Trey should have fled the scene once he saw Muschamp's glare:

The 2012 World Series parody song "Some Nights" (Video)

Our friends over at Network of Champions have put together some classic parody music videos in the past and this one ranks among their very best.

In honor of the 2012 World Series between the San Francisco Giants/Detroit Tigers, they put together a parody music video using Fun's hit song, "Some Nights".

Keep an eye out for that Marco Scutaro love....

Buffalo Bills Stevie Johnson prank calls fake engagements

Previously on Laugh at Sports, we featured a clip of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson learning Psy's Gangnam Style dance.

Our friends at Network of Champions posted yet another funny clip of note from the "Stevie Johnson: Street Games" series.

Check out Stevie prank calling a couple mothers saying that he had just gotten engaged to their daughters:

Jeff Van Gundy and Russell Westbrook swap glasses in ESPN commercial

The fine ad wizards over at ESPN recently released this classic NBA on ESPN commercial featuring Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook and color analyst Jeff Van Gundy.

As the ESPN on NBA van continues on its wide road trip across the NBA landscape, Jeff accidentally mixes up his glasses with Mr. Westbrook's.

I will say its a pretty good look for Jeff:

Misa Malone flubs "God Bless America" at NLDS game six (Video)

Last night, the San Francisco Giants didn't do much wrong as they beat the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 6-1 to send the National League Championship series to a seventh game.

During the seventh inning stretch, they got Misa Malone to sing "God Bless America" and she came out in a rather awesome hat.

Sadly, the hat was probably the best part of her performance:

German soccer player slides groin first into goal post

Sometimes making the unselfish play in sports isn't always the best decision.

In this clip from a Borussia Dortmund/Hanover 96 match from a couple of weeks ago, Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek saved a goal after stopping a shot from Hanover player that could have tied the score.

However, Lukasz unselfish play came at a price when he slide caused him to go groin first into the goal post:

Buffalo Bills Stevie Johnson gets guy to wear monkey mask and ask women out

Previously on Laugh at Sports, we've featured Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson teaming up with the folks over at Network of Champions to prank people in New York City.

In the series called, "Street Games", Stevie has done some pretty funny things but watch as he gets one random dude to wear a monkey mask for cash.

The object was that if he successfully asked out a girl, he would get five bucks...

Mexican soccer goalie scores own goal after ball hits his crotch

As a nation of men might agree with me, seeing another guy getting hit in the crotch will always be funny.

The below incident happened in a Mexican second division soccer match as Universidad Guadalajara goalie Sergio Rodriguez helped out the opposing Cruz Azul Hidalgo on a penalty shot.

Watch as the penalty shot bounces off the post and deflects off Sergio's crotch for the goal:

Justin Verlander rubs head of trainer for good luck during ALCS game 3

In the grand world of sports, some athletes have some interesting ways in keeping good luck going and Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander likes to rub other people's heads.

Nearing the end of game three of the American League Championship series, the Yankees were threatening in the top of the ninth and Justin turned to assistant trainer Doug Teter for luck.

Watch as the head rub gets caught by TBS cameras and a laugh or two from the broadcast crew:

Yankees playoff parody song "Play It" done by A-Rod Stewart

As the Yankees face elimination tonight against the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series, the folks over at Network of Champions have put together another classic parody song.

This time around, they channeled rock legend Rod Stewart with this song using A-Rod's struggles this playoff series.

Here it is called, "Play It":

Brian Wilson pretends to play the organ on teammate's head

As many baseball players and fans have noted before, there are times where games can get a little long and you have to find ways to entertain yourself.

During last night's game two of the National League Championship Series, San Francisco Giants pitcher Brian Wilson was a tad bored in the Giants dugout but he decided to let his musical flag fly.

Watch as he pretends to play the organ on one of his teammates head:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport gets hit in the face with ball

For those of you who wanted to be an NFL sideline reporter, you might want to check out this video featuring NFL Network's Ian Rapoport about the dangers of doing a live report.

Ian was doing a live shot from Reliant Stadium as the Houston Texans faced the Green Bay Packers and everything appeared to be going on as normal.

That was until a rogue ball hit him right in the chest/facial area:

French Rally Car Drives Through Winery, Hits Concrete Pole

Wine and driving should never be mixed.  Fortunately for Petter Solberg he wasn't sipping wine behind the wheel.  He was smashing grapes more or less.

His car lost control and somehow managed to crash through a winery.

I'm not sure if drank some Cab as he waited for a cab.

Watch the clip down here:

Giants pitcher Sergio Romo photobombs Erin Andrews

There is nothing that I like more than a good photobomb and during game one of the National League Championship Series, Fox reporter Erin Andrews was the latest victim.

As she was reporting from the Giants dugout, San Francisco pitcher Sergio Romo caught sight of the camera and decided to show off a funny face.

Thanks to the folks at Holdout Sports for finding it:

Aussie Rules Football player takes ball off groin

Australian Rules Football may be a difficult sport for most Americans to understand, but I think any sports fan knows that it's usually a bad play if you get hit in the groin with the ball. Hayden Ballantyne of the Fremantle Dockers follows the ball for most of its flight in this game, but he either loses it in the sky or assumes the player from the other team will get the header. He assumes wrong, and the result is painful yet hilarious.

Kudos to for the video.

Kansas State mascot accidentally kicks little kid in the head

There are few things that little kids love more than mascots but this GIF might make you think twice about hiring one at your kid's birthday party.

From the video, it appears that a family decided to hire Willie the Wildcat to entertain during their son's birthday party.

Watch as Willie accidentally kicks one of the kids in the head while trying to do a trick:

NOC's Every Fan of College Football

The 2012 college football season has gotten underway and it's been exciting.  How's your favorite team doing.

The hilarious folks at NOC seem to think that they know how you're doing in this video.

Every NFL Fan's Take: Week 5 of the 2012 NFL Season

As week six of the 2012 NFL season starts tonight with the Pittsburgh Steelers facing off against Tennessee Titans, let us reflect back on week five of the year.

Our friends over at Network of Champions put together another video of their classic series called "Every NFL Fan" and this is the week five edition.

So, grab some popcorn and enjoy this look back:

No one loves Derrick Rose more than Leo DiCaprio

For a lot of basketball fans, Derrick Rose's first round ACL tear was an awful thing to see.  Not only could it have future ramifications for the Bulls franchise, but in the short term it changed the Bulls from a championship contender to a first round also ran.  Definitely not a fun play to watch whether you were a Bulls fan or not.

As bad as it was for most people, the play seemed to affect Leonardo DiCaprio on a whole other level.  The video below shows the response of DiCaprio (and a ship captain, and an old couple in formal wear) reacted in the initial moments of Rose's injury.

Drunk Philadelphia Phillies fan hits the pavement hard

There are few things that go together like live sporting events and drinking alcohol but at the end of the day, we all have to know our limits.

Sadly, one young Philadelphia Phillies fan appeared to have done a little bit too much drinking as the below video shows us.

Watch as he staggers around for a second or two and then suddenly hits the pavement hard:

Stevie Johnson goes Gangnam Style, learns dance moves

We all know that Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson can catch touchdown passes but did you know he's down, "Gangnam Style?"

Courtesy from our friends over at Network of Champions as part of a new series called "Street Games", Stevie learns the dance from a contestant and shows off his moves to some other folks on the street.

I think Psy would have been proud:

College football ref denies Illinois QB Nathan Scheelhaase's high five

I've seen some pretty strange moments over the years in college football but this might be the first case of a referee denying a player's high five so vehemently.

It happened during Saturday's Illinois/Wisconsin game after a Fighting Illini rushing touchdown, Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase offered a high five to the back judge.

Watch as the back judge denies him of the high five:

Liam Neeson Knows Nothing About Football

Liam Neeson was on SportsCenter to talk about Football.  That was not a good idea by ESPN.

George Costanza once described Neeson's performance as Oskar Schindler as a "cake walk".  This interview cannot be described in that same way.

Obviously Neeson is not American, so his lack of understanding of the sport makes complete sense.  But ESPN should have at least let him know that he was on live television.

Watch the clip here (leave a comment if this is your favorite Liam Neeson performance):

Carlos Corporan of the Astros Makes Worst Slide Ever

The catcher for the Houston Astros seemed to do "The Snake" as he tried to sneak into second base in a game against the Chicago Cubs.  When you go in sliding head first they shouldn't need to apply first-aid to your head.

His feet did almost make it in first as they were right behind his head.

He looks like he got a nice shave at least.

Here's one angle of the play.

This is the only slide worse than the Houston Astros 2012 season.

And here's another angle.

Thank God he was wearing a helmet!

Skateboarder collides with deer at Colorado race

If you learn any lesson from this website, let it be this one: if you happen to be traveling at over 40 miles per hour on a skateboarder, keep an eye out for deer.

The below video was taken via a helmet cam during the Buffalo Bill Downhill race in Golden, Colorado as one of the riders had an unfortunate meeting with a deer head on.

Watch as the deer comes from nowhere and the skateboarder's only option is to tackle him:
After being treated, the skateboarder had only minor injuries and the deer...well...he lived to see another day.

Amateur Hockey Player Jumps Through Glass

During a Junior Hockey game, Taylor Cox decided to celebrate his goal in a groundbreaking (or should I say glass-breaking) way.

Instead of skating towards his own teammates, he seemed to head for the wall.  I'd like to say his celebration wasn't so sharp but... you know.

Laugh at this ridiculous clip right here (don't try it at home):

Los Angeles Dodgers ball boy tumbles into stands (Video)

Here at Laugh At Sports, we always give respect for great effort as long as it has a hilarious or funny outcome.

During Tuesday night's Los Angeles Dodgers/San Francisco Giants affair, San Francisco's Buster Posey in the fourth inning lined a shot down the first baseline into the seats.

A Dodgers ball boy by the name of Eddie attempted to make the leaping catch but was unable to come up with the ball and soon fell into the seats behind him:

Every Fan of the NFL Reacts to Week 4

Finally the replacement refs are gone.  Now what are we all going to complain about as a nation?  There isn't enough room for crying in the NFL.  It's not called "Touchy Football".

Thankfully, NOC has tried to figure out what every fan of the NFL is saying after Week 4.

And what a crazy week it was.

You can check the video out down here (leave a comment if you want to tell us about your favorite team):

Tampa Bay Rays rookie dress in drag, dance to "Call Me Maybe"

We've seen some pretty classic rookie hazing videos over the years but this one courtesy of Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price is an all-timer.

Before Wednesday night's game in Fenway Park, some of the Tampa Bay rookies were forced to dress in drag and dance to the Carly Rae Jepsen song, "Call Me Maybe".

This will be 1:25 seconds of video that you won't regret watching:

Denver Broncos' Thomas Fumbles Without Being Touched

Demaryius Thomas was trying for a touchdown but then the ball went down without a touch.  While trying to prepare for a hit from the Raiders, Thomas abruptly dropped the ball.  Plays like this will get you dropped from a fantasy team.

Fortunately, Thomas' stats are worthy enough to keep on your roster.

Here's one view of the play:

And here's another:

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chad Jenkins catches ball and...glove?

You can file this video under "bloopers gone good" as Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chad Jenkins found a rather creative way to capture a line drive.

It happened in the first inning of Friday's New York Yankees/Toronto Blue Jays game as New York outfielder Curtis Granderson lined a shot back at Jenkins on the mound.

As Jenkins took a stab at the ball, Chad lost his glove but somehow was able to regain control of it with the ball inside to record the out:

The look on Granderson's face priceless to say the least.
